48 Nepali citizens who were expelled from the US are going to arrive on Sunday evening by charter flight. They were sent back to Nepal after being found guilty of violating US immigration laws.

America has sent them to Nepal through the call sign N486 AX of Omni Air International. The plane is landing at Tribhuvan International Airport from Bangladesh via India.

The charter plane with the American officials is about to arrive in Kathmandu with Indian and Bangladeshi citizens in charge of the respective countries. After Donald Trump was elected as the US President for the second term and took office on January 20, 2025, the US adopted a policy of deporting illegal immigrants.

Since then, 140 Nepalis have been deported from America. Once a charter plane and the rest were repatriated by regular flights. This time, 48 people are going to leave Nepal at once by charter plane.
