Corruption case against 6 people including Bhatt on the charge of irregularities by concealing the position

The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a corruption case against six people, including Subba Tika Prasad Bhatta, the temporary deputy of Ramechhap's Manthali Nagar Development Committee, on the charge of financial irregularities by concealing the identity of a public position.

A corruption case was filed in a special court on Friday against Nasu Bhatt, the then office heads of intensive urban and building projects, Amar Bahadur Thapa, Narayan Prasad Bhandari, Suresh Kumar Wagle, accounting heads Yamlal Belvase and Suresh Prasad Dahal. The Authority has filed a case against the defendants with a demand of 1 crore 15 lakh 4 thousand 111 rupees and demanding imprisonment.

While still in public office, Bhatt concealed his identity and worked as a Ramechhap correspondent of Kantipur Dainik. After receiving a complaint against him, Kantipur Publications removed him a year and a half ago. Bhatt joined the service from July 1, 2049 as a temporary buyer. After that, it has been revealed by the authority's investigation that his job was extended indefinitely with the connivance of the employees.

On January 1, 2070, he was promoted from the position of temporary buyer to Naib Subba. 'It seems that temporary employees have illegally taken grade benefits like permanent employees, and they have also been promoted indefinitely. It is said in the indictment filed by the authority in the special court that the petition given by the defendant Bhatt for promotion, the work team appointed for promotion has not completed any process for submitting the opinion for promotion based on his educational qualification and level of work performance.

It has been revealed that Bhatt, who is working in Manthali Nagar Development Committee, has not been granted permission to do any other profession and business during extra time apart from office hours. Apart from the government positions, it has been revealed through the investigation of the authority that the head of the office and the head of the account, working in different offices at the same time, were also influenced and pressured and took the money for work/travel and attendance allowance in the meeting as a journalist.

In the meantime, the treasurer of Monthly Savings and Credit Cooperative Society, the site manager/local representative of an advertising agency called Midad Nepal, has been accused of publishing advertisements and getting the amount of commission by himself, taking commissions from office heads and accounting heads under undue influence, and taking allowances and other benefits as an agent of Citizens Life Insurance. During this period, he misused his position and committed corruption of 1 crore 15 lakh 4 thousand 111 rupees and the authority filed a case against him.

Similarly, 3 lakh 39 thousand 285 against the then office heads Thapa and 2 lakh 7 thousand 775 against another office head Bhandari, 3 lakh 95 thousand 420 against Wagle, 5 lakh 92 thousand 460 against Belwase and 4 lakh 79 thousand 550 against Dahal, the spokesman of the Authority informed Rajendra Kumar Poudel.
