The RSVP has maintained that the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar should resign in order to investigate the visit visa case. The Congress had discussed with the RSVP leaders to open the parliament, but no agreement was reached.
Congress Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka and Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire and Deputy Chairman Swarnim Wagle and Chief Whip Santosh Periyar from RSVP participated in the Parliament building. In the
meeting, the Congress proposed to wait until the investigation and prosecution of the authority. 'Now the authority is conducting an investigation, their proposal was to wait until its conclusion comes out. We said no, that we should resign,' said Pariyar, chief whip of the RSWP.
The Congress had put before the RSVP that the parliament should not be obstructed until the authority investigates and registers the case and then form an inquiry committee. The main opposition party, Maoist, has become positive about the proposal of the Congress.
