CPN-S chairman Madhav Kumar, who is also a former prime minister, has been automatically suspended as a member of Nepal's parliament.

He was suspended from the post of MP after the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a corruption case against Nepal in a special court on Thursday. He won from Rautahat-1 in the House of Representatives election of Nepal 2079.

With the filing of a corruption case under Section 33 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, employees and officials holding public positions until the case is resolved  There is a provision for automatic suspension. In the case of Patanjali land embezzlement, the former Prime Minister of Nepal has been made a defendant in the corruption case filed with Rs. 187 million rupees.

Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Secretary of the Ministry of Land Reforms Chhabiraj Pant and Chief Shaligram Singh of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Ayurveda Company of Nepal as defendants, the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a case in the special court on Thursday .
