Discussions between the top leaders of the ruling and main opposition parties to remove the obstruction of parliament have been inconclusive. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chief Opposition Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held a discussion on Monday evening at Singh Darbar, but no agreement could be reached as they were on their own positions.

The opposition party has been obstructing the Parliament demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar over the visit visa case. The opposition party alleges that the staff of the Home Minister's Secretariat is involved in the case of Nepalis going abroad on visit visas through Tribhuvan International Airport. On this basis, the opposition has been obstructing the Parliament by demanding that the Home Minister should be investigated and for that he should resign. The opposition party has demanded an investigation saying that immigration officials are extorting millions by causing unnecessary suffering under the guise of standards made by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The meeting of the House of Representatives on May 13 and 14 was disrupted by the opposition parties demanding the resignation of the home minister. On May 15, the Parliament meeting to bring the budget was not interrupted. The opposition party is ready to continue the disruption in Tuesday's meeting if the Home Minister does not resign.

Prime Minister Oli has said that the Home Minister will not resign and that the action should be taken forward even if there is obstruction from the opposition in the Parliament.

In the meeting of the UML parliamentary party held on Monday, Oli instructed the parliamentarians to be ready for it even if the parliament is blocked. In the meeting between the top leaders, Prime Minister Oli and Congress Chairman Deuba asked an employee not to obstruct the Parliament by saying that it is not appropriate to demand the resignation of a minister if the authority is investigating.

Participating in the meeting, Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula informed that Maoist Chairman Dahal has been asked to reconsider the ongoing obstruction in the House of Representatives. "We raised the issue in the meeting that the investigation has not confirmed whether the employee is guilty or not, the authority has also left," Sitaula said. Based on that, we said that it was not right for the minister to resign. Chairman Dahal said that the home minister should resign for a fair investigation of the visit visa issue. We maintained that the issue of good governance is important. It has been discussed. What we had put in the Parliament remains the same,' said the Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey about the stand of the Maoists in the meeting, 'There has been a mess with the visit visa, the Home Minister should resign for a proper investigation to solve it.'

Before going to the meeting called by the Prime Minister, Dahal had a meeting of the party parliamentary party and discussed with Madhav Kumar Nepal, president of the United Samajwadi Party. From that meeting, it was concluded that the Home Minister should resign to carry out the investigation of the visit visa case in a clean manner.

Deputy Secretary General of Maoist Varshman Pun said that he should also resign to ascertain whether the Home Minister is involved. "The Home Minister, Home Secretary, DGs, Head of Office will be dragged after the investigation. But today's issues cannot be diverted," Pun said about the decision of the parliamentary party, "What is established today is that there has been irregularity in Tribhuvan airport immigration, there has been work in the setting, thousands of people have been released in the setting in the case of visit visas. Those who do not fall into the setting are returned and given grief. This matter should be investigated. Investigating does not mean that the Home Minister is guilty. But before the investigation, it is the decision of the opposition party that he should resign and pave the way.'

RSVP has also decided to keep the obstruction of the parliament until the resignation of the home minister. RSVP chief whip Santosh Pariyar informed that the RSVP parliamentary party meeting held on Monday also demanded the formation of an inquiry committee in the case. The issue of immigration is not a small issue, it is a serious issue like human trafficking and trafficking. It includes staff, manpower, and the home minister's secretariat," he said, "the home minister should resign to investigate and find out the truth." He informed the meeting of the UML parliamentary party that the work of the House of Representatives will continue even if the opposition parties obstruct it. Resignation of the Home Minister without getting anything? Some facts, some evidence, some should touch the Home Minister. Nothing has been touched, nothing has happened, the authority called an employee and asked, hey, I don't know what was asked. I have not taken a statement," Oli said, "You should be mentally prepared. Let them shout, but the parliament should move forward. The meeting of the House of Representatives has been called at 11 am on Tuesday. The opposition parties did not obstruct the National Assembly.
