Ravi Lamichhane, the president of RSWP, who is currently in Bhairahawa jail in the case of misappropriation of funds of the Supreme Cooperative Credit and Savings Cooperative Society of Butwal, has requested for the transfer of the prison. After his request, the prison administration and the court have started the process.

After Lamichhane took permission from the district court, Rupandehi for the transfer, the prison administration has also taken the approval of the district administration. According to sources, the prison administration has completed all the procedures and sent it to the prison management department for a decision.

Prison chief Suresh Bhandari said that the transfer will be done only after the decision of the department. "It is not a situation where a decision has been taken yet," he said, "the process will proceed only after the decision of transfer from the prison department." Lamichhane wants to go to Dillibazar prison in Kathmandu. Dillibazar Jail is the choice of 'VIP' prisoners.

Butwal Supreme Cooperative Fraud and Organized Crime High Court, Butwal Bench of Tulsipur ordered Lamichhane to be sent to jail on 22 Chait 2081. Lamichhane is in jail after the district court Rupandehi revoked the order to release him on bail of one crore rupees on 13 Jan 2081.

Lamichhane wanted to be transferred after the Supreme Court ordered him to be detained. District administration sources said that Lamichhane may be transferred from Bhairahawa on Wednesday.
