The second phase of negotiations between the government and transport businessmen is going on

The transport businessmen, who sat in talks with the government this morning, are going to sit in the second round of talks with the government. Vijay Bahadur Swar, President of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, said that the talks will be held at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport at 2:30 pm.

After the government of Gandaki province introduced the regulations regarding ride sharing, the public transport businessmen are protesting against it . Public transport has been stopped for four days in Gandaki province. Every day thousands of passengers are suffering. 

On Monday morning, the transport businessmen sat in talks with Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Chief Secretary Ekanarayan Aryal, and representatives of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. The government has formed a 10-member negotiation committee under the leadership of Engineer Krishnaraj Panth, Joint Secretary of Infrastructure Construction and Transport Division, to solve the problems of businessmen. According to Vijay Bahadur Swar, president of the

federation, 7 people from the government and 4 people from the transport industry participated in the morning talks.
