While there are complaints of fare increase by various ride-sharing services when public transport is closed, Pathao Nepal has stated that there has been no fare increase except for regular charges on the mobile app.

Pathao says that the company is encouraging the riders by giving them quests and incentives to ease the uncomfortable situation faced by the passengers.

'We request you to take a ride only through the mobile app as there is no record in the system when traveling offline, there is no insurance and there is a risk of various types of criminal incidents,' Pathao said through social media. In order to ensure a safe and secure ride, Pathao has warned that offline travel may lead to fraud, robbery and abuse.

After the government of Gandaki province introduced regulations on ride-sharing, public transport businessmen have stopped public transport across the country today.
