A meeting of transport businessmen has been held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar. The meeting held at 8:30 in the morning has also formed a 10-member negotiation committee under the leadership of Engineer Krishnaraj Panth, Joint Secretary of Infrastructure Construction and Transport Division, to solve the problems of transporters.
According to Vijay Bahadur Swar, President of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, 7 people from the government and 4 from the transport professionals are participating in the negotiation committee. Chief Secretary, Secretary of Physical Infrastructure, Chief of Police also participated in the meeting.
'They have taken the meeting seriously,' Swar said, 'Our bottom line is to suspend the ride-sharing regulations brought by the Gandaki state government against the constitution. And so far, the federal law related to the system is being prepared, it means that we should proceed according to that law. "We will withdraw from the movement after our main demand is fulfilled," he said. The Supreme Court has asked to make a law. "There should never be a movement in public transport," Swar said, "The meeting of the committee is now sitting again at 1:30 a.m."
