RPP President Rajendra Lingden has warned the government not to consider the peaceful movement of royalists as a weakness. Addressing the protestors in Kathmandu on Sunday, President Lingden made it clear that the country could not tolerate further conflict and warned them not to consider their gentility as a weakness.
'We did not choose the path of rebellion because the country cannot bear more conflict. We had a peaceful demonstration. We have adopted a peaceful way so that not a single policeman should die, not a single citizen should die. This should not be considered a weakness,' said President Lingden.
He also said that the parties are robbing them considering their gentility as a weakness. Can't we vandalize two/four places? We don't want that. But considering our gentility as a weakness, you continue to rob and ruin the country? He works to protect his people and trap others. Not only we but also the police who are with us know that people who burn people alive in brick kilns are left in the name of court,' he said.
He has also demanded that RPP, Nepal President Kamal Thapa be freed from control. Police arrested Thapa during the protest in Kathmandu on Sunday.
