Writer, singer and musician Ganesh Rasik passed away. He passed away this morning during treatment at the Nepal Cancer Hospital in Harsiddhi, Lalitpur.

Writer Pradhumna Joshi confirmed that he received the news of Rasik's death around 11:30 in the morning.

Rasik's body will be kept at the University Teaching Hospital today. Musician Bulu Mukarung said that his daughter, who is in London, will arrive in Nepal tomorrow.

Born in 2004 in Chinamkhu, Bhojpur, Rasik was suffering from prostate cancer for a long time. He was undergoing regular chemotherapy . 

Rasik was a multifaceted person . His  'O Yangji Nana,' 'Nunjai Bilne Zindagi Lai Dhakkara Bokere', 'Dherei Magere Dhara Hoi', 'Hamro Gharbata Tamke Danda', 'O Nihilota', 'Gharbeti Nani Anganim Deo Na Malai Bas', 'Nakhelnu Juwa Aar Tas', 'Rato Bhale Kwanya Kwanya' are timeless songs.

Rasik's published books include 'Khistijlai Chhun Khodda' (Anthology), 'Rasikka Geetharu' (Anthology), 'Akashgangako Otmuni' (novel), 'Standing in Dashagaja', 'Jab Sisnuru Tekkei Walkhe', 'Perungo' (memoir) of five books.

He was the General Manager from Ratna Recordings to Rashtriya Naachghar.
