Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa awarded the badge to 11 people who were promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police. They were promoted from SSP to DIG on June 13 by the ministerial decision and were given a tailor by Inspector General Thapa on Friday.
DIGs Sudarshan Prasad Koirala, Binod Ghimire, Dipendra Gharti Chhetri (GC), Deepak Regmi, Madhav Prasad Shrestha, Dilip Singh Deuba, Deepak Kumar Basnet, Om Bahadur Rana, Jairaj Sapkota, Sanjeev Sharma Das and Surendra Bahadur Gurung were promoted by the Home Minister's decision. Along with this, they have been appointed on Friday.
According to the police head office, Koirala Special Bureau, Ghimire Inspector General's Secretariat, Jiji Police Establishment Maharajgunj, Regmi Investigation Planning and Development Planning Office, Shrestha Karnali Province Police Chief, Deuba Women's Children and Senior Citizen Services Directorate, Basnet Province Coordination Department, Rana Authority Abuse Investigation Commission, Sapkota Action Department, Slave Crime Investigation Department and Gurung Action Department have been posted.
All DIGs who have been promoted are officers who entered service in the National Investigation Department and were later transferred to the Nepal Police.
