Traffic has been operating since some time ago after construction of alternate roads in Chormara and Downe under the east-west Mahendra highway which was washed away by the flood on Thursday night.

According to the police, it will take more than an hour to build the diversion that has flowed into Binayi river in Dumkibas.

According to District Police Chief Yadav Dhakal, traffic was stopped due to Thursday night's rain in Chormara, Dumkibas and Downe roads under the Mahendra highway, and the diversion started at Chormara and Downe from 8:00 on Friday morning.

Traffic has been started by constructing a diversion near the bridge in Chormara . "One-way traffic has started in Downe," Dhakal said, "Diversion work is being done in Dumkibas's Vinayi river."

The work of construction of alternative unpaved road in the place where the highway has been washed away has started from Friday morning .

5 km east of Bardghat market, highway traffic was stopped due to the diversion road built 5 days ago in Khursani river. A pick-up van carrying vegetables was also swept away when the road washed away. According to Sai Tirtha Bhusal of the traffic police stationed in the

field, traffic on the highway has been stopped since 2:30 am. Although work is being done to open the highway, it has been difficult due to overnight rain. Bhusal informed that when the diversion road was washed away, a pick-up van carrying vegetables numbered Lu 3 Ch 8493 was also washed away. According to Bhusal, there was no human loss.
