Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has commented that the allegations leveled against him regarding the case of illegal collection of visit visas are motivated by political bias rather than facts and grounds. He also said that it is wrong to link the investigation started on an employee by the Commission on Abuse of Authority with the leadership of the relevant ministry before it is completed.

Despite demanding time to speak in the Parliament, after the opposition parties continued to disrupt the meeting, the Home Minister Ekater held a press conference at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building on Wednesday and refuted the allegations against him.

The opposition parties are demanding the resignation of the Interior Minister, claiming the involvement of the Nepalese nationals abroad on visit visas after the Authority started an investigation into the issue of raising money in 'setting'. They have been raising questions on the Home Minister author by linking the transfer of Tirtharaj Bhattarai, joint secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, to the immigration office of the airport and his return home.

According to him, when Lamichhane was the Home Minister, Bhattarai was the Director General of the Criminal Property Management Department under the Ministry. "While he was there, I transferred to the immigration office," said the writer. 

The home minister writer also mentioned the statement he gave when the Congress blocked the parliament by demanding a parliamentary inquiry against the then home minister Lamichhane. "If any honorable minister comes under investigation, questions are raised, if there is a situation where a competent agency of the state has to investigate, such honorable minister should not remain in the position of minister," he said at that time.
