Maoist MP Jhakkuprasad Subedi has claimed that a committee of 5 people has been formed to distribute the money collected illegally from immigration. In the National Assembly on Wednesday, Member of Parliament Subedi alleged that money was taken from immigration with the connivance of the Home Minister and said that this case has bowed the heads of Nepali people.
He said that there was human trafficking with the connivance of the high leadership of the Ministry of Home Affairs. He claimed that drivers and toilet cleaners have also participated in illegal extortion.
'Why was the joint secretary transferred before the authorities and the police suddenly came to check,' He questioned the government stating that this was done to destroy the evidence.
Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar also said that he has shown a double character by asking him to clear the way and help the investigation in the Ravi Lamichhane case, but now when he is being accused, he has shown double character. Narrating the story of UML MP Sher Bahadur Tamang's resignation due to opposition from the public, Subedi said that the writer should also resign based on ethics.
"The Home Minister has appealed to the Congress to save". Now the Home Minister's statement will not be taken by the Congress, but by the CIB, the authority and the high-level investigation committee," MP Subedi said.
