Addressing the foundation-laying ceremony of the trauma center to be built at Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre on Wednesday, he said that investment in health infrastructure, stability and quality improvement are essential.
He claimed that the new trauma center to be established in Dhulikhel Hospital will usher in a new era in Nepal's health sector. Speaking at the foundation ceremony, he said that there is a need for such a center in evidence-based treatment and emergency health services, noting that the role of hospitals and doctors is indispensable.
A 100-bed trauma center is going to be built in Dhulikhel Hospital in partnership with the Government of Nepal and the Japanese Government. The Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Ministry of Finance have signed an investment agreement of 3.879 billion Japanese yen for the construction of the trauma center.
