Some houses along with two boleros were damaged when a landslide occurred in Khakundol of Tatopani Naka, the northern border connecting China from Bhotekosi Rural Municipality of the district.
According to Police Inspector Jagat Bahadur Rai of Kodari Area Police, a dry landslide that fell from the upper part on Tuesday damaged two boleros parked in Bhotekosi-4 along with some houses.
Police Inspector Rai has said that the Bolero of Ganga Bahadur Newar of Bhotekosi Gapa-1 No. 18 Ch 8617 was completely destroyed. "One parked bolero has been completely damaged, while the other bolero number 030 C 7874 has been partially damaged," he said.
According to the police, the house of local Sangbo Sherpa and Palden Sherpa was damaged when large rocks fell in the landslide.
Police inspector Rai said that after the landslide started on the Bahrbise-Tatopani 26 km road before the monsoon, the police took precautions and tightened the evacuation. "There has been minor damage to two houses, but there are no human casualties," he said.
Earlier, the 15-meter road was blocked at Koplan on Tatopani road for a long time. Traffic is moving now as the landslide barrier has been removed.
