The parliament was adjourned for 30 minutes after the opposition parties disrupted the parliament. Soon after the start of today's session of the House of Representatives, Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the meeting for half an hour when the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Centre) along with the opposition parties Rashtriya Swatantra Party and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar.
The opposition parties have blocked the parliament, demanding that the home minister should resign to help the investigation, alleging that he was involved in the visit visa case of the writer.
As soon as Speaker Ghimire said that the work of today's meeting would begin, the parliamentarians of the opposition party stood up and protested. After that, the speaker allowed Varshman Pun, the MP of the main opposition party, to speak.
