The story of the child imprisoned in the Three Corners protest: Citizenship or relatives

After Chait 15, the traffic started to increase slowly in the detention cell of the police complex in Kathmandu. Because every day the Sanglans started getting arrested in the violent demonstrations and looting that took place in Tinkune every day. The police detained and investigated 90 people.

After the prisoner was too many, there was no crowd of relatives, well-wishers and friends who came to visit him. But even in this crowd, a 16-year-old teenager is alone in the police custody cell.

Someone is bringing food to meet the prisoners. Some carrying books and messages. Well-wishers are also heard consoling some of the prisoners, saying, 'You will get out soon!' But the 16-year-old teenager is quiet and silent in a corner of the prisoner's classroom. The police do not have any personal details of this teenager except his name.

Although the police noted that the teenager's age is 19 years old in the registration book, the police do not have an official document to prove his age . The teenager is saying that he is only 16 years old. A policeman working in the prison branch said that only one person has come to meet this teenager, who does not even have a citizenship or a birth certificate. In a conversation with

Kantipur, the teenager said, 'One day my mother came. The police have noted that he is 19 years old.' The teenager reiterated that he was only 16 years old with Kantipur and said that after he is released from prison, he will start the process of making a birth certificate and citizenship.

Why didn't his citizenship and birth certificate become ? This is the story of his amazing childhood. He said that his father left him when he was three-four years old and his mother left him and got married a few years ago. He said that after being abandoned by both his father and mother, he wandered and got a job as a laborer in a company some time ago.

Apart from saying that his old home is Dharan, he does not even have detailed information about his family. During the police statement, he also said the same thing about his past and childhood. How did these teenagers join the royalist movement?

Kantipur laughed at this question and said, "What can I say?" He said that he was going to Aloknagar depot after unloading sand in Shantinagar that day. He said, "There was a crowd of people. They were asked to come and vandalize." Four/five people threatened me not to come and beat me. Because of that fear, stone pelting started at the Central Office of the Unified Communist Party of the Communist Party of China.

The police arrested him on the 22nd of Chaitra on the charge of throwing stones at the central office building of the United Socialist Party. He said that he saw RPP Senior Vice President Ravindra Mishra, General Minister and MP Dhaval Shamsher Jabara and Durga Prasai for the first time in prison. "I saw them for the first time," said Karki, "but did not speak to them." ’

Police officers also define her as a victim in a detention cell. But they say they cannot leave for legal reasons. Gokul Bahadur Niraula, spokesperson of the Public Prosecutor's Office, said that the case was registered based on the age stated by the mother as she did not have any documents.

In the case of children, the law stipulates that the case should be registered in the children's court. "No official document was found to reveal his identity," Niraula said.

The public prosecutor's office has filed separate indictments of 50 and 11 persons including Prasai, according to section 32 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code of 2074. According to the office, 11 people have been registered under criminal charges and others have been registered as individual cases. Preparations are underway to file a case in the juvenile court against the four children accused of being involved in the violent demonstration.
