The Speaker of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, has said that the laws required for the implementation of federalism have not yet been made.

Organized by the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Hetounda  In the coordination meeting between the members of the National Assembly and the head/deputy head of the local level held on Sunday, Chairman Dahal said that even though it was stipulated that the necessary laws for the implementation of federalism should be made within 1 year when the constitution was promulgated, the law could not be made even after 10 years.

"Due to the incompetence of the leaders, there is a compelling situation to run the state from the Education Act of 2028 and the Forest Act of 2029," President Dahal said. Chairman Dahal said that he had to fight with the government demanding the right to make laws. Complaining that the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Law did not pay attention to their requests, he said, "Though the National Assembly is called an intellectual assembly, sometimes there are expressions that show respect for the members of the National Assembly."

He complained that the National Assembly was neglected by all three levels of the government in the program in which mayors, deputy mayors and chiefs/deputy chiefs of the municipalities of Bagmati Province participated. President Dahal urged all those who are aware of federalism and republicanism to be aware that they are being attacked by reactionary elements in the parliament. .
