Durga Prasain has given a statement that she met the former king Gyanendra Shah on the day before the royalist arson, looting and vandalism in Three Corners of Kathmandu on March 15. In the statement given to the police, it is Prasai's statement that he met Shah at Nirmal Niwas on Chait 14.

Prasai has also mentioned in the statement that he has a good acquaintance with Gyanendra Shah. I know King Gyanendra Shah of Nepal very well. My relationship with him is the relationship between the king and the people. I have been meeting him frequently since the last 5 years.
