Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli has said that the minister will not be held responsible if any employee makes a mistake. A member of the secretariat said that Oli had said that only the erring staff would be punished when the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar was publicly questioned about the visit visa issue at the UML Secretariat.

Oli said that the basis of the investigation of the relevant agencies of the state should be considered as the main one. If an employee makes a mistake, he will be punished. "No employee under the ministry should be involved in wrongdoing," Oli said in the secretariat meeting, "If an employee commits a mistake and resigns, the ministry cannot function". After the meeting, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that the question raised about the Home Minister writer will not be decided based on the comments made in the media and social media.

NCP UML is against corruption and in favor of good governance. There is a body to investigate any matter . Investigating bodies investigate . If they are found guilty, they will be prosecuted," he said. "What is commented on the media and social media is not a decision. Accusation does not determine everything . What has happened may have come to the attention of the relevant authorities.'
