The municipality has requested the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to investigate the fact that the land of Mardhar Wetlands located in Chandrapur Municipality-8, which is known as a tourist area, has been registered in the name of an individual.

After the land registry office Chandranigahpur failed to cancel the writ, the municipality has filed a case in the High Court of Birgunj. Out of the 100 bigha land in the Mardhar wetland area, 10 bigha land in the lake area has been passed in the name of individuals.
Mayor Sanjay Kafle said that there could be an agreement between the concerned agencies and that the wetland land should be returned anyway. "We have also requested the authorities and CIB to investigate," he said, "If the truth is investigated, we can bring back the wetlands." It has become a challenge.'

The Ministry of Tourism of Madhesh Province spent 35 lakh rupees last year for the protection and promotion of wetlands and built structures such as rest houses, toilets and fences. CIB Chief AIG Chandra Kuber Khapung said that the process will be carried forward after understanding the reality of the application given by Chandrapur Municipality. He said, 'Whether it falls within the jurisdiction of CIB or not, you can only know by looking at the complaint.'
The municipality has appealed to the court, authority and CIB for the return of 10 bighas of land where the lake is located. In the beginning, the process of canceling the document was initiated from the ship. On November 20th, the municipality had written to the Land Port Office Chandranigahpur to proceed with the process of canceling the registration in the name of the public lake.

Hem Bahadur Malla, the then forest minister of the Panchayat period, after the settlement was removed from Dhiyal of Makwanpur, they settled here by passing wetland land. According to the Malpot Office, the high-level commission for the strengthening of the forest area divided 80 bighas of land and passed it. It is the understanding of the municipality that the encroachment of the wetland land has increased after the Commission passed the wetlands in the name of individuals, claiming that they were the owners of Dhiyal.

6 months ago, the municipality has raised a land bond as wetland land on behalf of the ward representatives . The municipality has been contracting the wetlands with reservoirs. Yadav Adhikari of Makwanpur Dhiyal, Ramadevi Parajuli, Subodh Kumar Nepal, Vasant Prasad Dahal and others have been sitting quietly carrying red parts of wetland land.
