The students of Koteshwar Multiple Campus have protested again, demanding justice, appropriate treatment and expenses for Rebekah Khatri of Udaipur, who was injured by the police during the protest of monarchy supporters in Tinkune.
On Thursday, the students blocked the road for some time in Jadibuti. During the demonstration, teachers and students read on the street.
The government said that it will bear all the medical expenses . But the students protested saying that Khatri's health condition is becoming serious and the government is ignoring it.
Swaviyu president of campus Sanjay Budhathoki said that they were forced to come to the streets because they were ignored even after requesting the government several times. "Rebeka's health is deteriorating but the government's commitment was only limited to paper," he said, "Rebeka's family has so far spent 7 lakh rupees on treatment."
