Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the current government of boasting about majority. He also claimed that by boasting of the majority, he was working to clean up the corrupt and those who work in the interests of the people.

Speaking at a meeting held at Burtiwang and Galkot in Baglung during the 'Maoist with Janata, Madhyapahari Lokmarg Janajagran Abhiyan', Dahal also warned that the government will take to the streets if it boasts of majority. He also accused the current government of increasing corruption in the country. "Trying to take action against the corrupt led to the overthrow of the Maoist-led government," he said.

He also said that he had to leave the government because he could not publicize the good work done by the Maoists. He said that he also traveled the highway to give hope to the despondent people.

Dahal claimed that Madhyapahari Lokmarg, Madan Bhandari Highway and Hulaki Highway were also under his initiative and decision. "I had decided to build a public road in 2065, it has now contributed to the development of the hilly area," he said, "if someone comes and gossips, don't believe it." 

He also claimed that the government of 2065 has taken far-reaching decisions and started work. Another highway is needed at the foot of the mountain. He says that Kali Gandaki and other corridors were created because a north-south corridor was needed to connect those highways. He said that these infrastructures for maintaining national unity should now be leveled.

In another context, he opined that the hydropower project with Uttarganga reservoir should be built towards Baglung. He also assured the locals that in the case of Rukum or Baglung, it can be built cheaply and easily and will generate a lot of electricity.

He also claimed that this campaign was not only for Maoists but also for ordinary citizens. He said that like this campaign, the party will make everyone's hope and trust. He also claims that people have hope and trust towards Maoists. 

Former Deputy Prime Minister and Maoist Senior Vice President Narayankaji Shrestha said that Maoists have not forgotten the path of revolution. He said that epochal change has brought a democratic republic and said that this democracy is not traditional but oriented towards socialism. 

He said that the Maoists made two goals of the revolution. He said that the first political goal is to reach scientific socialism and the second is to bring development and prosperity according to the expectations of the people. For that, he claimed that the Maoists will work by focusing on good governance, prosperity and social justice. 

In order to work in favor of the poor people, the Maoist government waived the loans of up to 20 lakh rupees for poor families. He also claimed that Maoists decided to build the Madhyapahari Lokmarg to bring economic prosperity, decided to end loadshedding, and have done the job of killing the corrupt. 

He claims that the Maoist government collapsed when they tried to arrest those who encroached on public land and jailed the corrupt. "This government has withdrawn the case we raised, it is not necessary to understand more than that, the longer this government stays in the government, the more the republic will be in danger." 

Although not in the government, Maoists said that they traveled the public road with the agenda of good governance. He said that there are some weaknesses in the party as well. So he claimed that he was trying to reorganize. Now the party will move forward according to the desire of the people to correct the process of corruption and support the achievement of bringing a cultural revolution within the party. He declared that those who cannot transform will no longer be Maoists.
