After a week in Tilgaon of Namkha Rural Municipality-6 of Humla, relief has finally come on Wednesday. Ward president Paljor Lama informed that food items such as pulses, rice, oil, chiura, bhuja have arrived with the help of the rural municipality and various associations in coordination with the district disaster management committee.
According to him, the material was taken to Halji from Namkha rural municipality center Yalwang by vehicle. Halji was carried from the village and taken to half the place . He said that the material was carried by horses. He said that relief is going to be distributed. According to him, immediate relief for a few days has reached the village.
On 1st June around 10:30 pm two lakes burst and an avalanche hit the residents of Tilgaon. According to ward president Lama, there are 21 families of 33 people living in Tripal. Although there was no human loss due to the avalanche, the physical damage was huge
. Ward president Lama said that since the landslide has reached the houses of the displaced people, they are not in a position to return home. According to him, since Tilkhola small hydropower project, fields, mills, water supply and Dharamshala have been greatly damaged. The settlement has become dark . He said, "Locals are also drinking water from the river." Ward president Lama said that despite informing the state and the central government, no help has been received so far. He said that the team including the chairman of the municipality reached the village with relief. Konjok Mutup Lama of local 6 said that since there are only elderly people in the displaced family, there is a high risk of getting sick.
