CPN (UML) MP Dayal Bahadur Shahi targeted CPN (Maoist Center) and remarked that when an employee was removed, he 'cried' for three days.
Speaking at the meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee on Wednesday, MP Shahi commented that making the employees their role models is affecting the Maoists. He said that it is sad that even when America removes many employees and programs, there is no protest but there is crying in Nepal.
He mentioned that the people who cry when an employee is removed are the ones who are raising the voice that they should go to the executive presidential system. Also, he said that the former executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, has a good managerial ability.
He said, 'We are following rumors. The US has laid off many employees, canceled many programs, there is no outcry. When an employee is removed, the same friend says let's go to the presidential system. They say this system is broken. After the presidential system comes, we will have a stronger president than Donald Trump. Those same friends cry when an employee is fired. Kulman Ghising's managerial ability is good. When he showed the income and expenditure, he showed the profit by removing the liability to be paid. The present executive has shown the loss by showing the liabilities to be paid. We have all read it. Yesterday we used to say Marx, Mahatma Gandhi, Lenin. Now we political people are reduced and we are stuck in the small circle of Kalidas. We have increased the staff.
UML MP Prem Bahadur Maharjan has demanded a clear answer to the fact that the electricity authority has lost billions of rupees when Kulman Ghising was leaving and after Hitendra Shakya came. He also said that people should be given clear information about load shedding.
He said, 'When Kulman Ghising was leaving and after Hitendra Shakya came, it is said that the electricity authority has lost billions of rupees. Be clear about this. The issue of load shedding should also be made clear to the people.
Janata Samajwadi Party MP Sushila Shrestha speaking at the committee meeting said that success will come if we think about common problems and work for the country. She objected saying that instead of choosing good people, the work is being done for the benefit of the people. She asked that the situation should be turned into a status and the government should be able to speak among the people that it has done a good job.
She said, 'Let us work for the country, let us do it together. Rather than selecting a good person, work is being done for the sake of share. Let's turn bad things into things. The state is our guardian. We have come to make policy. Let's work on a common issue.
Nepali Congress MP Shankar Bhandari said that the country cannot become a country unless it is able to rise above the urges and prejudices and mentioned that the biggest problem is the urges and prejudices.
He said, 'Until we rise above prejudice-prejudice, no other logic can build the country. The biggest problem of our country is insistence and prejudice. To resist forcefully. How is the Electricity Authority in loss, if it was profitable yesterday, let the committee, the government and the employees move forward to revive it.'
He said that if the problems of the nation are made a common issue by all, the rhythm of the country's development can be caught.
