Tuesday's meeting of the House of Representatives was adjourned after the quorum was not reached. Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday after the quorum was not reached.

In the meeting, the Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari presented a proposal to consider the Bill, 2082 to amend some Nepal Acts related to land.

The parliamentarians discussed the proposal and after the ministerial officer gave an answer, Speaker Ghimire started the process to pass the proposal. Soon after, Maoist's chief whip Hitraj Pandey demanded to determine the quorum. At that time, only three MPs from the opposition party were present in the parliament.

According to Article 94 of the Constitution of Nepal, a quarter of the members of the House of Representatives must be present to submit any question or proposal for decision. When the quorum was determined by ringing a bell for three minutes, the proposal was adjourned for 15 minutes after the number of 69 required to submit the proposal for decision.
