The case of RSVP Chairman and former Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane's arrest has been placed in 'Herdaherrai'.

In the Supreme Court, in the bench of Justices Nahkul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal, the hearing on the writ started on Tuesday, but it was not completed, so it was kept on 'wait and see'. 

On the 7th of Baisakh, his wife Nikita Paudel registered a writ of imprisonment in the Supreme Court on behalf of Lamichhane. Earlier, even though the payment was fixed time and time again, it was kept out of view. The hearing of the writ application, which has been 'unable to see' six times, has started on Tuesday for the seventh time.

Lamichhane filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the order of the Butwal Bench of the Tulsipur High Court on March 22, 2018, to send him to pre-trial detention. The High Court, Tulsipur, Butwal, overruled the decision of the District Court, Rupandehi, and ordered Lamichhane to be sent to prison pending trial. Currently Lamichhane is in Rupandehi prison as a prisoner.
