Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri has left for China to preside over the 13th session of the International Beit Bamboo Organization (INBAR) Council. Forest Minister Shahi left for China on Tuesday to participate in the session to be held in Beijing at the invitation of the Chinese government.
The private secretariat has informed that Minister Shahi is scheduled to return home on June 10. Minister Shahi Council is the chief guest in the program to be held from 8th May.
Nepal was elected in March 2023 as the chairman country for a 2-year term of Inbar. The 13th session of the 12th INBAR Council, which was held at the headquarters of INBAR in Beijing, unanimously selected Nepal for the term from 2023 to 2025.
Inbar was founded in 1997 to develop and promote innovative solutions to poverty and environmental sustainability using bamboo and rattan.
