The weather forecasting division under the Department of Water and Meteorology has said that there is a possibility of rain for three more days as the influence of western wind and local wind continues.
Mentioning that light to heavy rains are still occurring in most parts of the country as well as storms and lightning, the division has requested to exercise caution. Sanjeev Adhikari, meteorologist of the
division, informed that there is partial to normal rain across the country today and light rain with thunder/lightning is occurring at one or two places in all the provinces.
'Currently, there is a partial effect of the western wind and local wind, as well as the water vapor air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea,' he said, 'because of which it is raining at any time.'
According to him, it rains with lightning during the pre-monsoon season, especially in the evening. He said that rain is likely to occur in different parts of the country tonight as well, and there is a possibility of rain for the next three days.
In some parts of the country due to light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning/wind, the department has requested to make necessary preparations and take necessary vigilance to avoid the effects of daily life, agriculture, health, road and air traffic.
