Summit Air Flight No. 301 TwinOtter, which flew from Kathmandu to Lukla, had a technical problem, and the aircraft landed safely in Kathmandu.
According to Tribhuvan International Airport Spokesperson Rinji Sherpa, the plane that flew to Lukla in the morning experienced a technical problem after reaching the Phaflu area of Solukhumbu. Then the pilot decided to return the plane to Kathmandu. The plane landed safely at 7:24 am.
It is said that a problem has been identified in the plane's engine and the technical team is currently repairing it. The plane was carrying 19 passengers including crew members. The airport office said that all the passengers are safe.
