Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that it is necessary to control the import-oriented economy by increasing the use of indigenous products.

He   He is of the view that increasing domestic production can take the economy in the right direction and reduce imports.

Mentioning that Nepal is self-sufficient in cement, Singh said that indigenous cement should be used for construction. 'We have become self-sufficient in cement production . Now, if you use cement produced in your own country, it will also increase the production . It will play an important role in controlling the import-oriented economy. So let's work keeping these aspects in mind,' he said.

According to the topography of the country, Singh said that the use of cement will improve the quality of the roads.

Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal said that the cooperation of the private sector is necessary in the infrastructure development of Nepal. He informed that the government is also studying to develop infrastructure in partnership with the private sector.

Minister Dahal mentioned that in some countries of the world, the private sector invests in infrastructure and takes certain dividends from it. He said that concrete road construction can be studied and promoted due to the geographical uniqueness of Nepal, progress made in cement production and sustainability.
