Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has directed to immediately provide relief materials to the people displaced by landslides in Namkha rural municipality-6 Til village of Humla.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, the Minister of Home Affairs directed to immediately provide relief materials including tripal and food grains to those displaced by the landslide. He immediately ordered relief materials and on-site studies from helicopters for the displaced. They have also instructed to send a technical team.  In the

meeting, the minister gave instructions to make immediate arrangements for food and shelter for the displaced and to prepare a report by the technical team after on-site study. He instructed the subordinate agencies to coordinate with the Karnali state government for relief and on-site studies.

In Namkha rural municipality-6 Tilgaon, a critical area of ​​Humla, local people have been displaced due to landslides. So far, 32 people have been displaced in that area. Similarly, in the meeting, the minister has instructed to start the necessary preparation and coordination for disaster response before the pre-monsoon . The Home Minister instructed the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to hold meetings with the security committees of all seven provinces and 77 districts and start preparations before the pre-monsoon.

Similarly, the minister has emphasized to coordinate and cooperate by using the resources and capabilities of private organizations in disaster response. 

 The meeting was attended by Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi, Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, head of security agencies and high-ranking officials of various concerned agencies.
