Attention of the government by MPs on budget priorities

The parliamentarians of the House of Representatives have drawn the attention of the government about the current issues as well as the priorities of the budget for the coming financial year.

During the special session of the House of Representatives on Sunday, MP Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan objected to the language used by a member of Parliament, linking former MP Jogmehar Shrestha. He said that the language insulted the Newar community.

Member of Parliament Sher Bahadur Kunwar demanded to arrange employment in the country saying that Nepalis have been recruiting Gurkhas in the Indian Army and that they have started to make a difference in the name of 'Agnipath'. He said that it is also necessary to end the situation where people affected by disasters such as earthquakes have to wait for relief.

Member of Parliament Ranjukumari Jha demanded to arrange social security allowance based on contribution. She said that the complaints of not getting the compensation due to the accident of the Solar Airlines plane are increasing and she demanded to arrange the compensation as soon as possible.

MP Rekha Yadav said that the government is not serious about the development of the agricultural sector. In the policy and program and budget of the current financial year, it is said that identity cards will be given to all farmers, but only 1.9 million farmers have received them so far, she said, charging 24.39 percent customs duty while importing organic fertilizers is wrong.

MP Ram Prakash Chaudhary demanded that an airport should be built there as the Sagarnath Forest Development Project has no forest purpose. He informed that the project is useless, the employees have not been paid for 11 months, and thousands of bighas of land have been encroached upon.

Member of Parliament Prem Suwal demanded to arrange employment in the country as those going for foreign employment have to work in extreme temperatures. The dairy farmers said that they have not received the payment yet and demanded that the payment be made soon.

Member of Parliament Prabhu Sah questioned why the problem of microfinance has not been solved and demanded that the report of the inquiry committee formed under the coordination of the Deputy Governor be made public as soon as possible. Based on the report, he also demanded that the robbed microfinance victims be given speedy justice and returned from the streets.

MP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh sent a letter to Sarlahi's Savarnia rural municipality-3 ward office and a basic school, the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Environment and the MP representing Sarlahi and said that due to the crusher industry, they are unable to study in the school. He demanded that the journalist who took the picture of the crusher be investigated for robbery and demanded that the culprits be punished.
