Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chief whip Gyan Bahadur Shahi has objected to the death of a laborer who was working on an electricity pole in Dhulikhel due to the negligence of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday, MP Shahi said that the death of the laborer due to electrocution was not an accident but due to the negligence of the Electricity Authority.
28-year-old Upesh Pariyar of Ishwarpur Napa-12 Gharibatha of Sarlahi, who was working on an electricity pole in front of the Dhulikhel Municipality-7 district administration office extended by the Kavrepalanchok distribution center through the Nepal Electricity Authority, died of electrocution on Saturday.
MP Shahi has demanded that action should be taken regarding such negligence of the Electricity Authority. Similarly, he objected that the government is arresting people on the basis of having different views.
Even though the constitution gives the right to have a different opinion, he commented that the government is above the constitution because the government is suppressing it.
