Member of the National Assembly Vamdev Gautam has alleged that the Congress-Maoist coalition government has given Shaligram to India for free. He says that it is objectionable to give Shaligram of Kaligandaki to India for free.
In the Sunday meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the National Assembly, MP Gautam said to give Shaligram for free to India.
Gautam said that the Congress-Maoist-led government gave Shaligram to India for free without informing the Nepali people about the Shaligram of Kaligandaki river. He said that it is not appropriate to give valuable Shaligram for free without studying how diamonds are made.
'There is a lot of Shaligram in Nepal . Which is called diamond . After heat from below and pressure from above, Shaligram is formed from coal and coal. You can get huge income by making diamonds from Shaligram. Whereas China has benefited by making diamonds from Shaligram, but we are giving it for free,' Gautam said, 'on 11th January 2079, the government gave Shaligram of Kaligandaki river to India . That Shaligram was given for free by the Congress-Maoist-led government.'
