Former Deputy Prime Minister and Rashtriya Jan Morcha President Chitra Bahadur KC has strongly objected to the attempt to restore the monarchy. I am a person who has directly experienced autocratic monarchy. "Republic, though flawed, is many times better than monarchy," he clarified.

Addressing an interaction program on the current political situation and the issue of republic defense in Dhangadhi, he admitted that the people were disillusioned by the failure of the leadership and political corruption. He believes that the current political situation in the country is the result of the moral weakness of the leadership. Leaders should be committed to the nation, honest and unsullied. But the current leadership could not maintain that level,' KC said.  In the

program, Rashtriya Janamorcha General Secretary Manoj Bhatt expressed concern over the incident in Tinkune on 15th March and said that the anti-republican forces are on the rise. "Due to the weakness of the republicans and the support they are getting from the neighboring countries, the royalists have become active again," he said.

National Janamorcha Sudurpaschim Provincial Office organized the event and the party's provincial vice president Harikrishna Pandey, UML Sudurpaschim President Krishna Prasad Jaisi, left wing leader Ramchandra Bhatt, CPN central member Bharat Bam and others were present.
