Foreign Minister Dr. Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Akiko Ikuino had a courtesy meeting with Arju Rana Deuba today.

On that occasion, Minister Rana thanked Deputy Foreign Minister Akiko for participating in the Everest Dialogue. In addition, Minister Rana thanked the Japanese government for its support in the reconstruction and maintenance of the Sindhuli-Bardiwas road, according to the private secretariat.

Due to last year's incessant rains, the road was heavily damaged. After the request of the Nepal government for the repair and reconstruction of the road built with the subsidy of the Japanese government, Japan is going to help.

Minister Dr. Rana and the Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister discussed various issues of relations between the two countries. Minister Rana also expressed her gratitude for the support that Japan has been providing in the economic, social and other fields of Nepal for a long time.

Minister Rana also asked Japan to show solidarity and support in the cause of climate justice that Nepal is raising on the international stage.
