4 people have died and 28 people have been injured due to the severe storm that hit the country on Friday. Houses and vehicles have also been damaged due to the storm.

 

According to Naxal Police Headquarters, the deceased are 14-year-old Shukna Kewat of Kapilvastu, 54-year-old Rambha Devi Dhanuk of Bara, 30-year-old Mira Bayambu of Nawalparasi West and 40-year-old Durga Bahadur Pun.

According to police spokesperson SSP Ramesh Thapa, 6 houses and 2 sheds were also damaged due to the storm.

The stormy rain also damaged the Nawalpur FM 104.4 MHz tower at Kawasoti in East Nawalparasi. After the collapse of the tower, the broadcast of the radio has been stopped.

According to the initial estimate of the police, the storm has caused damage equal to 1 billion 844 million 500 rupees. Yesterday, there were fires in 18 places and lightning in 59 places across the country, so the police have collected disaster incidents.
