Climbers, icefall doctors and tourism professionals have demanded the state to preserve the melting mountains. Under the leadership of climber Kamirita Sherpa, the climbers submitted a demand letter to the Prime Minister through Home Minister Ramesh Ukhtar.

While the Everest dialogue was going on in the capital, the demand letter was submitted to the Home Minister, Tourism Minister Badri Pandey, Minister of State Arun Chaudhary and others who reached the Everest base camp. The climbers have demanded the establishment of an Everest Tourism Authority in the Himalayan region saying that the state should pay attention to the construction of health and communication infrastructure at the base camp. Babu Sherpa, tourism businessman and director of peak promotion, handed over the demand letter to the home minister on behalf of the climbers. Dawa Steven Sherpa, a tourism businessman, said that the presence of the state in the Himalayan region is low and that it would be a hassle to ask for a permit every year to build a road on the icefall for climbing, and that permission should be granted for 5 years .

Climber and president of Seven Summit Trek, Mingma Sherpa said that helicopter operations should be allowed easily to the base camp. He has also demanded that the climbers should use oxygen lawn helicopters in the mountains. President of Nepal Mountaineering Association, Nima Nuru Sherpa, emphasized that the federal government should take a long-term solution to the problem of helicopter flights in the Khumbu region.

Tourism Minister Pandey informed that the government will take a serious approach to solve all the problems in the Everest region and the Tourism Act has also been submitted to the Parliament. He promised that the demands of the climbers will be addressed in the presence of the Prime Minister on the International Everest Day to be held on May 29.

The Home Minister said that the mountaineers have made Nepal known to the world and will not allow any lack of peace and security in the Everest region. He said that arrangements will be made to fly helicopters in the Khumbu area .

Congress General Minister Vishwaprakas Sharma, who has been at Everest base camp for a few days, urged the current government to take seriously the problems of the Himalayan region and the demands of climbers. He emphasized that the mountains have turned into black stone due to the effects of climate change and stressed that the international community should be shaken through the Everest dialogue.
