The dispute over the selection of the leader of the Far West Parliamentary Party has been resolved in the Maoist center for a year and a half. Khagraj Bhatt was reinstated as the leader of the party after the meeting held in Dadeldhura on Thursday night.

Bhatt was reinstated after about 16 months at a meeting of the parliamentary party held in the presence of senior vice president Narayankaji Shrestha, vice presidents Agni Prasad Sapkota and Nandkishore Pun, general secretary Gurung along with president Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Maoist majority MPs removed Bhatt from the party leader in a parliamentary party meeting a year and a half ago. On January 12, 2008, the majority of the state assembly members removed Bhatt from the party leader and elected Man Bahadur Dhami as the leader. Apart from the speaker, the members of the Sudurpaschim Maoist, which has 10 MPs, Man Bahadur Dhami, Akkal Bahadur Rawal, Shivsingh Oli, Om Vikram Bhat, Lakshmi Vick and Geeta Devi Mal signed it . Since then, Bhatt has remained almost inactive in parliamentary and party activities.

Bhatt repeatedly complained to the center of the party about the injustice done to him. Chairman Dahal and General Secretary Dev Gurung also gave written and verbal instructions many times to reinstate Bhatt as the leader of the parliamentary party. Even President Dahal's instructions were not implemented when the majority of MPs did not agree.

In June 2081, President Dahal, after discussing with the Far West MPs, directed Bhatt to be reinstated as the leader of the party. Even after that, Dahal instructed Bhatt to be the leader of the party five times in writing and verbally. However, the majority of the parliamentarians did not accept the toss. The Maoist parliamentarians of the Far West, who were divided into two groups, also disobeyed the written instructions of the president and the secretary general. That's why despite being the main opposition party, the role of Maoists in the provincial assembly could not be effective.

According to state parliamentarians, the parliamentarians did not agree to consider Bhatt as the leader of the party even in the Thursday meeting attended by senior leaders including the president. But after being strictly instructed by President Dahal, the parliamentarians agreed . MP Om Vikram Bhat, who is in opposition to Bhatt, said that the instructions of the party president have been implemented. The dissenting MPs complained about Bhatt's working style. A member of parliament said, 'If the working style is not improved, we will remove it again.' Launching the campaign in a program held in Patan, President Dahal accused the government of going in the wrong direction. Claiming that there are many manipulations in the name of the appointment of the governor of the National Bank, he accused the government of focusing on protecting corruption.

"Rashtra Bank Governor is a post that should be appointed immediately, but there are many kinds of tricks and scams," he said. During the campaign, senior vice president Shrestha, vice president Sapkota, Pampha Bhusal, general secretary Gurung and other state level leaders and activists reached Patan. The Maoist Center has informed that the campaign which started from Patan will end after reaching Solukhumbu. There is a program that will be conducted throughout the month of May. But due to the budget, it will be postponed for a few days after reaching Pokhara on 10th of June," said Gobind Acharya, Chief Private Secretary of President Dahal.
