The hearing of the petition filed in the High Court in Pokhara against the Kaski District Court's order to release 7 people, including Ravi Lamichhane, on bail in the case of cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering is also being watched on Friday.

The trial, which began on Thursday, was held in the bench of Chief Justice Ratna Bahadur Bagchand and Justice Milan Rai. The two-judge bench has set another hearing for next Sunday.

Lamichhane and Joshi are incarcerated in Rupandehi Jail regarding other cases, their lawyers informed the court on Friday. Considering the said context, the court has ordered to send the information about the trial to Lamichhane and Joshi through the relevant prison. In the case of defendants Aarti Gurung, Mina Gurung, Ram Bahadur Khanal, Leela Pachai and Krishna Bahadur Gurung, the trial has been scheduled for Sunday.

The High Public Prosecutor's Office filed a petition on January 7 demanding the annulment of the Kaski court's order of 25 January 2018 to release 7 people, including Lamichhane, on bail. On January 8, the High Court had ordered the release of the report. Lamichhane, who was released on bail, had also filed a petition against the order of the district court, demanding that he appear himself on January 14 and be released on a regular date. Former DIG Chabilal Joshi, Ram Bahadur Khanal, owner of Nature Herbs and Leela Pachai, GB Rai's assistant, filed the application on January 25, Aarti Gurung and Meena Gurung on May 21.

The application submitted by the order of the district court was to be completed within a month, but the hearing was postponed four times and arrived on Thursday. Deputy Attorney General Surendraraj Kafle and Dasharath Pangeni argued on behalf of the High Public Prosecutor's Office on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, Lamichhane and Joshi's lawyers Sushilraj Pant and Raman Shrestha filed a request for adjournment of the hearing saying that the hearing was held without informing their side that the hearing had been postponed. After the court started the hearing on Friday, they objected that Lamichhane was in Rupandehi prison and that they were not informed about the transfer of Pesi.

Lamichhane has been in jail since Chait 22 as per the order of the Butwal court. Pokhara High Court Sub-Registrar Neel Prasad Paneru said earlier that the official information that he was in jail was not involved in the missile. "We should get official information about other cases in prison," he said. It cannot be said that he does not know when his legal practitioner has submitted an application for postponement of payment. According to him, although the payment can be postponed only twice at most, the payment has been postponed four times in this application.

For the first time, the payee set for Chait 21 was moved by the government attorney, and the second time, the payee set for May 4 was moved by Ram Prasad Khanal, the owner of Nature Herbs International. After being sent to Rupandehi prison in Lamichhane Supreme Cooperative fraud case on March 22, his lawyer  Narayanadak Kandel had submitted an application to move the payment fixed on Baisakh 11. For the fourth time, the payee fixed on Baisakh 25 was moved on behalf of Chabilal Joshi's legal practitioner.

It has been demanded to send the defendants including Lamichhane to jail in Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering cases. However, the defendant side has been arguing demanding to release them on a regular date. Earlier, the bench of Judge Nitij Rai of District Court Kaski had ordered the release of Lamichhane on a bond of Rs 65 lakh.

According to the report of the parliamentary committee, it has been mentioned that 2 billion 56 million rupees were traded from five cooperatives related to Gorkha Media Network Pvt.
