Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba has said that climate change is no longer limited to a particular region or country.
Speaking at the Everest dialogue program that started in Kathmandu from Friday, Minister Rana mentioned that the issue of climate change has now become a global problem and it has put the entire humanity in crisis. She pointed out the need for joint and collective efforts to deal with the global crisis.
Minister Rana expressed the view that the environment of Nepal and the world is currently at risk, saying that world-class joint efforts are necessary to identify and solve the problems of climate change. She also warned that the lack of honest dialogue and effective action could endanger the future of humanity.
According to him, Nepal has been experiencing devastating and series of severe weather problems in recent years. She informed that problems like floods, glacial eruptions, droughts, lack of water and forest fires have caused great damage across the country. — News Agency Nepal
