40 climbers on the first day of Everest

Facing the bad weather, 40 local and foreign people reached the summit of the highest mountain in the world on Wednesday in the first climb of this year. In which there are 22 Nepalese, Chinese, Ukrainian, Czech Republican, American and Japanese climbers.

 

 According to Himal Gautam, director of the tourism department, they reached the peak of Everest on Wednesday morning after traveling from three different companies.

For this year's climbing season, 7 Nepali mountain guides working in the ATK expedition from the second camp to the peak finished the work of making the road by hanging the rope last Friday. Director Gautam in Khumbu region told Kantipur that this year's professional climbing started from Wednesday after the rope was hung.

There are 8 Chinese, 6 Ukrainian, 2 Czech Republican, 1 American and 1 Japanese climbers who have reached the summit of Mt. According to the department, 22 Nepali guides and Sherpas who helped them also successfully climbed Mount Everest. Until Sunday, the department has issued permits to 119 climbing teams, including 240 women and 887 men from 57 countries including Nepal, to climb 26 mountains, including Mount Everest. 

Of these, 45 climbing teams have received the highest number of permits to climb Mount Everest, including 84 women and 372 men. 107 people have got permission to climb Mount Lhotse and 76 people have got permission to climb Mount Nupse.

The department said that there are at least 1,000 natives/foreigners at Everest Base Camp along with their helpers who have obtained permission to climb these three mountains. The department issued all mountain climbing permits and collected Rs 773.5 million.

Meanwhile, three foreign climbers have died in this climbing season and 2 Nepali guides have gone missing. According to Director Gautam, three foreign climbers have died in Kanchenjunga, Makalu and Amadabbalam mountains so far. Two Nepalese Sherpas are missing in Annapurna mountain.
