Janata Samajwadi Party MP Birendra Prasad Mahato has said that the government should adopt a policy of using loans only for high-return projects. He also said that public welfare state cannot be built unless inclusive development and social justice are maintained.

Participating in the discussion on the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill in the Tuesday meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Mahato, who is also the chief whip of Jaspa, said that the loan should be properly utilized. "It is better to use public debt only in projects that achieve high returns." The lack of effectiveness in revenue mobilization is also a hindrance to Nepal's development. Making it effective should be seen in practice, he said.

Mahato also says that since the issue of building a welfare state in Nepal is being limited to Mahasan, the government is paying attention to that issue in the coming financial year.

He also said that it should be ensured that the benefits of development reach the common citizens. Stating that there is a lack of proper coordination between the three levels of government for balanced development, he said that there will be balanced development in the country only when there is proper coordination and cooperation between the government, public and private sectors.

Stating that there are some legal complications for the construction of Diesel Nepal, Mahato said that the government should pay attention to those matters. This time, the government has paid special attention to building physical infrastructure and digital economy while making the budget, I appreciate it. However, I would also like to make suggestions to remove some legal complications for the creation of Digital Nepal,' he said.

Mahato has suggested the government to pay special attention to public finance balance and budget discipline. He said, "There has been talk of putting an end to distortions and inconsistencies in the field of public finance, and capital allocation will be focused on projects with preparedness and investment patterns."

He says that only the direct participation of the private sector will help the development of the country. He said that a business-friendly environment should be created for that. He said, ``In order to take the private sector, which is playing an important role in the country's development, along with it, a business-friendly environment should be created . The government should address the demands of the private sector as soon as possible. There is a need for legal, institutional and procedural reforms. Let the government take appropriate steps in this regard,' he said.
