A foreign climber has died while climbing Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest (8,586 m) mountain.
According to the information given by Police Inspector Vivek Basnet, Information Officer of Taplejung District Police Office, 63-year-old Margetta Moring from France died due to breathing problems.
With permission from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, two French nationals went to climb Kanchenjunga.
The police said that he died after reaching a height of 8,000 meters while climbing from southern Mohada of Kanchenjunga Himal. Yamfudin Police Station has informed that the climber's body is 7,500 meters above.
