The Department of Transportation has stopped the printing of essential driver's licenses.
By issuing a public notice on Sunday, the department informed that the license printing work has been stopped due to a problem with the printing machine.
It has been reported that the license printing for Nepalis going abroad for study and employment, Peace Corps, Nepal Police and non-resident Nepalis has been stopped since Thursday. Ganesh Mansingh Rai, information officer of the
department, said that the printing of licenses for the general public has also been stopped.
