The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a corruption case against the sub-engineer of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority in a special court.
A case has been filed against Kumar Paudyal, a sub-engineer working in the Authority's Divyeshwari Land Consolidation Project, Bhaktapur, on charges of corruption by acquiring illegal assets. According to the authority, a case has been filed against him with a sum of Rs 3 crore 63 lakh 21 thousand 207.
Paudyal earned during the period from 2051/01/09 to 2080/03/31 and counting expenses 3 crore 63 lakh 21 thousand 2 hundred 7 The commission also said that the account of rupees has not been opened.
The Authority has demanded imprisonment and fine against him as directed by Section 15 of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2017, Section 3 and Sub-section (2) of Section 29 and Sub-section (2) of Section 20 of the prevailing Anti-Corruption Act, 2059.
