Five passengers were injured in a collision between a bus and an EV (micro) in Sangurigarhi rural municipality-1 Labarbote of Dhankuta on Sunday morning.

Bus No. 1-02-001 J 4276 going to Dharan from Dhakuta and Bus No. 1-02-002 B 0373 coming from the opposite direction met at 11:30 in the morning.

Among the injured are Janukadevi Khatiwada of Sunsari's Samdhuni-3, Amir Rai of Bhojpur Municipality-10, Hark Bahadur Rai, Sophia Rai and the driver of the Hayas, Bipin Nepal of Bhojpur-8, police said. The injured have been taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment.

Bus driver Sunsari  Kul Bahadur Magar of Itahari sub-metropolitan city-17 has been detained, said District Police Spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal. All the passengers in the bus are safe.
